How to Muscle Test Yourself

Being able to muscle test yourself is an invaluable skill. You will be able to test yourself in any moment and in any situation. I find it especially useful when I am deciding what to order at a restaurant. (read about muscle testing)

How to Muscle Test Yourself – Method 1

You can use test your non-dominant arm using your dominant hand.

  • hold your left arm bent in front of you, parallel to your chest
  • place your right hand on the inside of your forearm, just to the left of your wrist
  • try to maintain the position of your left arm as you think of a food and press with your right hand

If you can maintain the position of your left arm, then the answer is “yes”. If you cannot maintain the position of your left arm, then the answer is “no”. The pictures below show the difference between a “yes” answer and a “no” answer.

I test my left arm with my right hand:

The left arm remains stationary when your body gives you a “yes” answer.

How to Muscle Test Yourself – Method 2

Use the fingers forming an okay sign on both hands to test the strength of the index finger and thumb connection on the non-dominant hand with the index finger and thumb connection on the dominant hand.

  • intertwine the loops formed by your index finger and thumb on each hand
  • try to maintain the loop in your left hand as you think of a food and pull with the loop in your right hand

If you can maintain the index finger and thumb connection in your left hand, then the answer is “yes”. If you cannot maintain the index finger and thumb connection in your left hand, then the answer is “no”. The pictures below show the difference between a “yes” answer and a “no” answer.

I test the connection on my left hand with the connection on my right hand:
